SuppliesTo make a small batch of Biodiesel at home, you only need to comply with a few input requirements. The ingredients needed to produce a Biodiesel product are alcohol, lye, and vegetable oil. Mixing the fuel requires some empty plastic bottles, duct tape, a blender, and measuring cups. Please ensure that the equipment used for Biodiesel should be solely intended for that purpose and never re-use them in the kitchen. Once your supplies are in place, you are ready for your journey in learning on how to produce Biodiesel. Safe ProcessThe production of Biodiesel is nothing risky. There is little risk of fire or explosion as you may expect with fuel. Indeed the only safety precaution you have to note is hurting yourself due to flames. Just be careful and realize the mixture does get hot. You will undertake the simple procedure of Biodiesel production which requires blending the inputs, allowing it to set, disjoining the byproduct and Biodiesel and then cleaning the Biodiesel. The production process can take place in a few days or weeks. That depends on the extent of cleanliness of your vegetable oil. Small or Large ScaleYields in Biodiesel production can be small scale or large scale. Tapping biodiesel is sensible if your goal is to make a few gallons of Biodiesel at a time. If you are running your lawnmower or other lawn equipment then A Biodiesel kit is recommended. It is not difficult to use and will require a small amount of supplies. If your goal is to generate more production like for your automobile, tapping a biodiesel processor makes sense. This makes the process much more efficient, so your output can reach more than a few a gallons at a time. With a processor you will need some more supplies but you can find ease in making Biodiesel since the iterative tasks can be undertaken by the processor.
